Citation ≠ recognition

AI can use your page and leave your brand out.

A citation shows which source supported an answer. A mention puts the brand in the answer itself. Citable measures both—then traces the technical, entity, topical and third-party evidence gaps behind the difference.

Citable's operating response

We diagnose the gap, trace the cause and implement the bounded fix.

  1. 01

    Measure both

Track citations, mentions and narrative accuracy across a defined query panel.

  2. 02

    Trace the cause

Inspect crawl, identity, extractability, third-party trust and the delivery layer.

  3. 03

    Ship the fix

Implement the approved technical or content change, then rerun the same panel.

A dashboard can show the gap. Citable can trace a technical cause through the delivery layer—and ship the bounded fix.

Method

Ten structural signals. One directional check.

The free checker turns ten observable structural signals into a 0–100 orientation score. It shows where machine readability may be weak; it does not claim to measure cross-surface visibility or prove why an external system cites a brand.

THE CITE FRAMEWORK

Four conditions shape technical readiness.

CITE organises Crawl, Identity, Trust and Extractability. Diagnose adds the query, competitor, source and narrative evidence the structural check cannot observe.

C

Crawl access

Optimised directives and clean visibility for the leading AI crawlers, so models can reach your content.

I

Identity

Verifiable structured data and entity grounding across knowledge graphs — so a model knows which brand you are.

T

Trust signals

The third-party citations, mentions and authority signals that make a model confident to name you.

Extractability

Content structured so a model can lift a clean, quotable, accurate answer about your brand.

CHECK 10

llms.txt manifest

Root manifest for AI agents — tracked as a hedge; not a confirmed ranking signal today.

The 0–100 ladder

0–39

Invisible

AI engines cannot reliably surface your brand. Foundational structural work needed before targeted GEO investment makes sense.

40–59

Citation gaps

AI engines find you sometimes. Critical signals are missing or noisy. Targeted fixes can lift you into reliable citation range fast.

60–74

Patchy presence

You appear in some answers but lose to competitors on key prompts. The structural foundation is there — sharpen it.

75–89

Solid baseline

You are reliably citable across the major AI engines. Remaining work is fine-tuning entity disambiguation and content depth.

90–100

Citation-ready

Strong AI readiness across all ten structural signals. You are in the top tier of citation candidates for your category.

Score updates each time a domain is rechecked. We treat the band as the strategic signal — the number is just where you sit inside it.

Frequently asked

What teams ask before they engage

What does Citable do?

Citable is an SEO and AI Search agency for technical B2B SaaS teams. We diagnose visibility and narrative gaps, build approved SEO and GEO foundations, and operate the roadmap, backlog, tickets, governance and reporting cadence.

Is Citable Agency the same as getcitable.com or the CITABLE framework?

No. Citable Agency (citable.agency) is an independent SEO and AI Search services agency founded in Tarragona, Spain, in 2026 by Elizabeth S. The Boston software company at getcitable.com and the CITABLE content framework by Discovered Labs are separate entities. Citable Agency sells human research, implementation and operations—not their software or framework.

Does AI Search replace SEO?

No. SEO remains the technical, content and authority foundation. AI Search adds new surfaces, query panels, citation and source analysis, narrative accuracy, experimentation and governance.

What is GEO?

Generative Engine Optimization is a specialist discipline within the wider SEO and AI Search category. It focuses on how information is retrieved, cited and represented in generative answers.

Can you guarantee citations or recommendations?

No. Models, retrieval systems and answers change. Citable controls the rigor of the diagnosis, implementation, experiments and reporting—not the output of an external AI system.

Which audit should we choose?

Choose Baseline Review (€1,800) for orientation, Opportunity Audit (€3,800) for a prioritised 90-day roadmap, and Program Audit (€5,400) when you also need governance and operating design. Opportunity is the recommended starting point for most qualified teams.

What happens after the audit?

Approved priorities can move into a bounded Foundations Sprint or an ongoing operating program. Build and Operate are scoped separately around workstreams, owners, dependencies and acceptance criteria.

What does Operate include?

Operate can maintain the evidence panel and roadmap, prioritise an experiment backlog, produce editorial and technical tickets, coordinate agreed dependencies, apply governance and QA, and report decisions and uncertainty to stakeholders.

What is Agent readiness?

It is an emerging, use-case-dependent capability covering structured product and service data, feeds and APIs for agent-mediated discovery and action. Citable assesses it during Diagnose; it is not a standalone launch service or implementation promise.

What is the free checker for?

The checker provides a limited automated view of structural readiness. Use it for orientation. It is not a cross-surface visibility baseline, expert audit, implementation roadmap or proof of business impact.
